This initiative of the DEGREN PLUS project, which focuses on Ecodesign and Circular Economy strategies, had the main objective of stimulating the participation of the business community in innovation and research processes in the EUROACE cross-border area, which involves the Extremadura region in Spain, plus the Centre and Alentejo regions in Portugal.<\/p>\n

The Director of CDRSP\/IPLeiria opened the event, followed by a presentation of the DEGREN PLUS project by the project leader, Raquel Lozano V\u00e1zquez from INTROMAC. The event continued with a speech by Ana de la Puente, from the company IK Ingenier\u00eda, focusing on the importance of Ecodesign as a competitive advantage for companies, emphasising various ecodesign and circularity practices that reconcile sustainability with innovation.<\/p>\n

After this presentation, there was an interactive session focusing on Ecodesign involving the companies present, organised by IK Ingenier\u00eda, COIIEX and CENTIMFE. Participants had the opportunity to explore and validate Ecodesign strategies through collaborative methodologies applied to their own companies’ cases.<\/p>\n

Marisa Almeida, representing another Portuguese partner in this project (CTCV), also had the opportunity to highlight examples of circularity metrics and their application in the business context, discussed in one of the project’s activities. Finally, Marcelo Gaspar from IPLeiria presented some of CDRSP\/IPLeiria’s innovative projects focusing on the low-carbon economy, the reuse of discarded components and promoting alternatives with a lower environmental impact.<\/p>\n
