[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The first day began with a welcome session and a guided tour of the Department of Forestry, Wood Science and Design at the University of Thessaly in Karditsa. This was followed by the 4th Transnational Partners Meeting, where the results of the project tasks completed to date were discussed, the status of tasks in progress was presented, and the start of new project tasks was planned.<\/p>\n

On the second day, the 4th Multiplier Event took place, under the theme “Shaping the Habitat Sector: Advancing Green and Digital Skills Education in Greece”.
\nThe first part of the event featured a panel discussion entitled “Bridging the Gap between the Labour Market & Learning Pathways in the Habitat Sectors”, with the participation of Stefanos Dodouras (CluBE), Konstantinos Ninikas (University of Thessaly) and George Petrou (DIMITRA), as well as Angeliki Tsameti (Researcher and trainer), Ioannis Delfos (Alfa Wood Group) and Alexandros Chliapas (Chliapas S.A.). In this panel, the speakers presented the current scenario of education and training for workers in Greece, highlighting the skills needed for the green and digital transition, and also shared their training experience in the different Habitat sectors.<\/p>\n
The second part of the event consisted of an interactive workshop entitled “Mind the Gap: Collaborative Policy Design for Green & Digital Skills Education”, which analysed the gaps in education and training in green and digital skills. Based on the perspectives of different groups (students, young professionals, education providers, SMEs, etc.), the session mapped out training needs, highlighted discrepancies with labour market requirements, and laid the groundwork for the co-creation of policy recommendations for future skills development in different Habitat sectors.<\/p>\n

The third and final day included a visit to the facilities of Alfa Wood Group in Larissa, a Greek company that is a leader in the country’s wood processing industry. Combining innovation in wood production with sustainable practices, it specialises in the creation of fibreboard and laminated chipboard panels, flooring, doors and other products from wood waste. The meeting ended with a review meeting on the HABITABLE National Alliances.<\/p>\n
