[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This initiative, co-organised by Cluster Habitat Sustent\u00e1vel as a partner in the PTCentroDiH project, brought together companies, organisations from the scientific and technological sector, and other stakeholders interested in discovering and exploring innovative digital solutions with practical applications in the business world.<\/p>\n

The main aim of the event was to provide training in and demonstrate technologies relevant to digital transformation, with a focus on strategic areas such as cybersecurity, advanced digital skills training, the application of artificial intelligence, and virtual and augmented reality, amongst other digital solutions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The session began with an opening address by Jo\u00e3o Gabriel Silva (IPN), followed by a presentation of the PTCentroDiH Project, led by M\u00f3nica Ferreira (IPN), who outlined the mission of the Digital Innovation Hub and the services available to businesses to support their digital transformation journey.<\/p>\n

Rui Soares (CENTIMFE) then led a Digital Maturity Assessment Exercise, enabling participating companies to reflect on their current level of digital transformation and identify specific opportunities for improvement and development.<\/p>\n

The Technology Training Session featured a number of pitches presenting technologies and solutions developed by PTCentroDiH partners, notably:<\/p>\n
– Hugo Amaro (IPN) gave a presentation entitled \u201cTrends and Tools in Generative Artificial Intelligence\u201d, discussing the growing impact of this technology and providing examples of tools applicable to the business context.
\n– Jos\u00e9 Guimar\u00e3es (IPC) spoke about the \u201cRealities that transform business\u201d, highlighting the potential of immersive technologies to transform processes, products and services.
\n– Paula Alexandra Silva (UC) presented the project \u201cBuildInclusive \u2013 Inclusive Digital Accessibility Platform\u201d, which focuses on creating solutions that promote inclusion and accessibility in the digital environment.
\n– Alberto Cardoso (UC) addressed the topic of \u201cIntelligent sensor data analysis\u201d, demonstrating how advanced data analysis can generate value and support informed decision-making in industrial and technological settings. He also presented the topic \u201cPredictive Maintenance\u201d, highlighting how data analysis and intelligent models can anticipate failures and optimise asset and operations management.
\n– Finally, Am\u00edlcar Cardoso (UC) brought this session to a close with a presentation entitled \u201cResponsible Artificial Intelligence\u201d, emphasising the importance of ethics, transparency and reliability in the adoption of AI-based solutions.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Following the training component, the Technology Demonstration Session took place – \u201cTest Before Invest\u201d, which gave participants direct access to technological solutions and prototypes developed by PTCentroDiH partners, with demonstrations in areas such as IoT in buildings and systems, computer vision, data acquisition, digital twins, extended reality applied to robotics, generative design and additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The session also included a visit to the IPN\u2019s LED&MAT Laboratory, where robotic solutions for the circular economy were presented, with a particular focus on 3D printing applied to the construction sector and on decision-support systems for the recycling of photovoltaic panels, highlighting the role of emerging technologies in promoting sustainability and industrial innovation.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This initiative has reinforced PTCentroDiH\u2019s role as a catalyst for digital transformation in the Centro region, bringing together businesses, knowledge and technology, and helping to boost competitiveness, innovation and modernisation within the national economy.<\/p>\n
