Cluster Habitat Sustentável took part in this session, where it presented Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) as strategic sustainability tools for the Habitat value chain and its multiple sectors. The intervention covered the DAPHabitat system managed by the Cluster, as well as the regulatory framework governing EPDs, the various environmental indicators reported, the importance of Life Cycle Assessment and the main stages in the process of drawing up an EPD.
The potential of EPDs to generate real value in sustainable construction projects was also emphasised, promoting greater transparency, market differentiation and the environmental credibility of products – a technical and strategic contribution to accelerating more responsible and conscious practices in the sector.
