The Platform for Sustainable Construction, as the managing body of the Sustainable Habitat Cluster in Portugal, has launched an initiative aimed at recognizing the sustainability efforts of the Cluster’s entities.
This is the Sustainability Seal, awarded on the basis of objective and rigorous criteria, which allows candidates to have their efforts towards sustainability recognized as an entity (company, municipality, among others).
The central objective is to visibly award a qualifying label based on criteria that demonstrate a clear commitment to sustainability as a motto for innovation and competitiveness on the part of companies and other entities. These criteria are clearly diversified in order to respond to both the variety of entities in the Habitat cluster and the scope of the sustainability theme. Thus, there are criteria related to environmental, social and economic aspects as fundamental pillars in the definition of sustainability.
Applications for the sustainability label are now open.
