Operating since 1993 as an installer and later as an importer and exporter of domestic and industrial air conditioning systems, CHATRON has been expanding its market and its scope of work throughout the country. In 2004, important medium-term decisions were taken and important choices were made for its future:
New industrial facilities have been built to optimise manufacturing and development, enabling the manufacture of new highly energy-efficient equipment in the areas of air conditioning, ventilation and transmission of natural lighting and LED lighting, using photovoltaic energy for self-consumption.
Chatron currently has a total area of approximately 5,000 m2, including offices, laboratory, development, production and warehouse, located in the Rossio Industrial Zone in Vale de Cambra, in one of Portugal’s most industrialised regions (around 40 km south of Porto).
Most of the products marketed by CHATRON are developed and manufactured in this new, modern factory.
The main products currently manufactured are:
– Solar tube – natural lighting (domestic, commercial and industrial versions up to 1,000 mm in diameter);
– Hybrid solar tube – 24-hour lighting (domestic, commercial and industrial versions up to 1,000 mm in diameter and with LED lighting and photovoltaic panels in standard powers or sized for each case);
– Photovoltaic fans (domestic and commercial versions);
– Solar tube and other versions of the combination of solar tubes and photovoltaic fans.
