Companhia Portuguesa de Extrusão

In 1972 Extrusal appeared on the Portuguese market, a national company that extruded and processed aluminium profiles for use in architecture and industry in general. Over the course of its 48 years, Extrusal S.A. has always remained at the forefront of technology, with the quality of its products as its guiding principle for maximum customer satisfaction.
Extrusal has always been concerned about the environment and in 1982 built a wastewater treatment plant to treat its water. Since then, awareness of environmental issues has led to the acquisition of new equipment and technologies, enabling the implementation of an Environmental Management System, resulting in the NP EN ISO 14001 environmental certification in 2002.
Quality issues have always been present in Extrusal’s day-to-day operations. It has held product quality marks: anodising by Qualanod since 1983 and lacquering by Qualicoat since 1995. It should also be noted that in 1997, Extrusal was the first Portuguese company, and one of the only ones in Europe, to obtain global quality management system certification – NP EN ISO 9002 – in the areas of die making, extrusion, anodising and thermolacquering.
In 2009 it carried out more than 80 tests on window frame systems to enable its customers to CE Mark their products in accordance with the EN 14351-1 standard.
Aware of the importance of accompanying architectural clients, Extrusal offers interested parties the Budgeting and Projects Centre for consultancy and technical assistance to designers, in São Félix da Marinha, Vila Nova de Gaia. Closely following the needs of the market, Extrusal’s product portfolio includes a wide range of solutions for architecture: swing and sliding systems (with or without thermal break), cladding and shading systems and curtain walling.
Extrusal offers its customers a range of surface treatments carried out entirely in its production plant. Anodising makes it possible to obtain colours ranging from natural black to champagne or bronze tones. Each colour can be pre-treated to give it a polished or satin finish.
Lacquering can have a matt or glossy finish, and there are no limitations as to the shades you want: more classic or more innovative colours, or even the traditional wood effect.
The Machining Unit meets the demands of the increasingly demanding industrial market. The investments made in equipment enable us to tackle our clients’ most complex projects. The Extrusal machining process complies with the NP EN ISO 9001 standard.
By choosing Extrusal, customers can be assured of the quality of the product as well as its constant concern for environmental protection.
