Project Overview:
Applied R&TD project to build a prototype kiln for firing porcelain. The aim is to demonstrate that the conventional microwave-assisted heating process could lead to a reduction in energy consumption of up to 20% and take 20% less time than the conventional process (heating by burning natural gas). This technology is potentially cleaner, faster, less expensive and more efficient than the traditional processes in use.
