This event is the biggest annual event in the calendar of European cities and regions, organised by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission in cooperation with the European Parliament, the Presidency of the European Union and around 200 regions and cities from more than three dozen countries.
The CCDRC is part of a regional partnership called Smart Partnerships for jobs and growth, made up of a diverse group of regions and cities from five countries (United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Poland and Croatia).
This partnership organised a workshop, which was part of the official programme, Is ‘smart’ the right approach to achieve jobs and growth?, which took place on the 7th. The President of the CCDRC, Ana Abrunhosa, was the speaker at this session, with a speech on the Intelligent Specialisation Strategy for Central Portugal.
The President of the Platform for Sustainable Construction, Victor Ferreira, was also part of the delegation travelling to Brussels.
