This conference, moderated by Alvaro Luna of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), kicked off on April 20 with a presentation by Onyx Solar (Tomás del Caño) and was followed by four more interventions by SUDOKET project partners on pilot demonstration facilities based on KETs for Innovative Buildings.
First, the demonstrator “KET SUPPLY – Solar Supply Systems” was presented by S. Bouchackour (CDER), A. Luna and J. Castro (UPC), followed by “KET MATERIALS – Advanced Construction Materials and Systems” by A. Corredera (CARTIF), F. Rebelo and R. Vicente (University of Aveiro).
The third demonstrator “KET OPERATION – Intelligent EI Management) was made known by J.M. Lourenço (LNEG), Jorge Facão (LNEG) and Daniel Aelenei (NOVA School of Science and Technology) and, finally, the “KET STORAGE – Systems of Thermal Energy Storage” was presented by Z. Aketouane (Nobatek/INEF4) and Asier Sanz (Tecnalia).
This first day also featured an Industrial Workshop where solutions from some companies were disclosed, such as “Cleanwatts – the path to carbon neutrality” presented by J. Basilio Simões and Luisa Matos of Virtual Power Solutions, “Senergyforce – the efficient solar facade” by A. Teixeira of AT Solar, the “Hybrid Control Applications for Energy Management in Buildings” by J. Álvarez of GPTech and the “Data Analysis Applied to Energy Management in Buildings” by X. Cipriano from BeeData.
The second and last day of the CRAKETIB conference was composed by a Scientific Seminar, in which results and RD projects were presented, such as “Intelligent glass for energy efficient buildings” by M. Manca (Leitat), or the case of ”Innovative materials for curtain wall solutions” by J. Corker (Pedro Nunes Institute), followed by presentations on “Thermal comfort and implications of energy efficiency in service buildings” by N. Forcada (UPC) and on “Thermal insulation in prefabrication” by L. Gil (UPC).
