Entities in the EUROACE area cooperate in the cross-border project DEGREN – DEsign & GReen ENgineering

On January 24, the 2nd Coordination Meeting of the DEGREN project (DEsign & GReen ENgineering) was held in the Central Region, the project aims to create a Cross-Border Ecodesign Center in the EUROACE region (Alentejo, Center and Extremadura) to promote the development of ideas, research and projects in the area of Ecodesign, and to promote innovation in several strategic sectors of the region to favor the generation of new business models based on Ecodesign and the Circular Economy.

On this occasion, Cluster Habitat Sustentável, one of the nine partners that integrate the project, hosted the rest of the consortium in its delegation at the University of Aveiro.

 

Durante a reunião foram tratados diferentes assuntos, estando alguns deles relacionados com o mapeamento de recursos e o observatório de Ecodesign que está em desenvolvimento, com programas de formação a realizar durante o projeto, com eventos de sensibilização ambiental e com diferentes ações de comunicação e difusão do projeto.

 

The DEGREN Project: Cross-border Business Innovation Center for Ecodesign of EUROACE, Design and Green Engineering, is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the INTERREG Spain-Portugal program (POCTEP) 2016-2020.

 

It comprises a budget of € 1,435,441.98 approved by the Management Committee of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG VA Spain – Portugal (POCTEP) and whose execution period is from January 1st, 2015 to June 30th, 2019.

 

In the project are involved the following entities: INTROMAC – Instituto Tecnológico de Rocas Ornamentales y Materiales de Construcción (Principal Beneficiary), ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, Sustainable Habitat Cluster, COIIEX – Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Industriales de Extremadura, CTCV – Technological Center of Ceramics and Vidro, DiEX – Association of Designers of Extremadura, FUNDECYT-PCTEX – Fundecyt Foundation Scientific and Technological Park of Extremadura, IPLeiria – Polytechnic Institute of Leiria and UEX – University of Extremadura.
