It is a Network of old/used Construction Materials Repositories from demolition works, with potential for re-use and online cataloguing.
As an innovative project, the Materials Repository has won the public recognition, having obtained an Honorable Mention and an Incubation Prize by the Center for Social Innovation of Porto, as well as the Passport to Entrepreneurship Grants promoted by IAPMEI, and most recently was Finalist in the Green Project Awards.

The Materials Repository has as Mission:
- Safeguard and make available old building materials, enabling rehabilitation of buildings with contemporary construction materials;
- Protect and enhance integrated built heritage;
- To disseminate and value traditional constructive knowledge and local identity;
- Sensibilize society for a resource based economy and environmental protection.
