Austria hosted a meeting of the Erasmus-CoVE project ‘HABITABLE’

From 4 to 6 February 2025, the HABITABLE Project consortium, of which Cluster Habitat Sustentável is a partner, met again in Austria for the 3rd Transnational Partners Meeting.

Day 1 kicked off with the project’s 3rd Multiplier Event, entitled ‘Building Futures: Business-Education Partnerships for Reskilling and Upskilling in Timber Construction – Best Practices from Austria’, which featured speeches by the HABITABLE project leader and officials from the University of Graz, Graz University of Technology and Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

In the afternoon, the HABITABLE project partners had the opportunity to visit the facilities of the Kuchl Knowledge Campus (of Salzburg University of Applied Sciences) and see how it works in terms of dual training and education in various areas of construction and supporting technologies.

The day ended with the 3rd Transnational Partners Meeting, where the results of the project tasks completed to date were discussed, the status of the tasks under development was presented and the start of new project tasks was planned.

Day two was marked by two internal project workshops, a presentation by Campus Kuchl on the various training possibilities in Austria, and a visit to HTL Hallein, another higher vocational training school.

The third and final day included a visit to the Binderholz company, a market leader in the production and processing of wood and in offering innovative and sustainable solutions for construction, as well as a visit to WIFI Salzburg, an institution linked to the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce, which offers vocational training and further education courses.

Special thanks to the project partners, FH SALZBURG and HOLZCLUSTER for organising this 3rd meeting and for all their hospitality.
