The aim of this initiative was to highlight the country’s eco-efficient and innovative solutions to Swedish architects, designers and companies, stimulating direct dialogue between the main Swedish stakeholders and the participating Portuguese entities.
The event took place at the Portuguese Ambassador’s Residence in Stockholm, and was attended by Ambassador to Sweden Sara Martins and curated by Professor Elizabeth Hatz, a renowned Swedish architect.
At the event, Victor Ferreira, President of Cluster Habitat Sustentável, reinforced Portugal’s position as a benchmark in architecture and sustainable construction, highlighting some of the innovative materials, solutions and products that meet the challenges of sustainability and the circular economy.
The focus on these themes was also reinforced throughout the initiative by other Portuguese participants who took part in the session, such as architect Paulo Reis Silva of Saraiva e Associados, who highlighted not only the innovation and performance of the solutions presented, but also the tradition, know-how and quality that characterise Portuguese production. The initiative also sought to contribute to a change in the perception of Portuguese architecture and construction in Sweden, promoting an image of modernity, differentiation and commitment to contemporary environmental values.
Cluster Habitat Sustentável will monitor future links and a potential visit to Portugal by the group of Swedish companies in 2025.
