The session began with the intervention of the presidents of the three regions and ended with the inauguration of Ana Maria Pereira Abrunhosa of the CCDR Centro as the new chair of EUROACE.
Throughout the event, the great work done by the entities of these regions, facilitating and promoting cross – border cooperation and, as an example, the projects approved under the Interreg V – Spain – Portugal Cross – Border Cooperation Program, presented at this session were praised. Projects in different areas (Circular Economy, Demographic Challenges, Economy 4.0 and new areas of Cross-border Cooperation), but with a common goal, cooperation beyond the territorial borders between Spain and Portugal.
The first project presented was DEGREN, a project of which Cluster Habitat Sustentável is a partner. In this plenary session, the participants were able to learn about the objectives of the project, the entities that make up the consortium, their activities and the results achieved so far, by Professor José Frade from the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria.
