The aim of this initiative is to bring Portuguese clusters together in a cooperation network in order to explore synergies and projects in areas of common interest linked to innovation, internationalisation and the competitiveness of entities in the different value chains. It also aims to coordinate these activities of strategic interest and contribute to national economic development in a concerted manner, periodically reporting efforts and achievements to the Portuguese government, as well as promoting training activities on clusterisation and contributing to the dissemination and international relations of Portuguese clusters and their members.
The launch event for this initiative took place at the Pavilhão do Conhecimento in Lisbon’s Parque das Nações where, in addition to the formal signing of the Partnership Agreement, a European expert on competitiveness clusters, Alberto Pezzi, an expert from DG Enterprise, José Freitas and the Secretary of State for Innovation, Investment and Competitiveness, Dr Pedro Gonçalves, also took part.
