Project Overview:
The main objective of the WALL-IT project is the development of multi-layer structures for multifunctional interior wall cladding called Wall-inTex® . The aim is to research and develop an innovative product that is essentially aimed at the refurbishment/rehabilitation of buildings in order to remedy the current shortcomings in terms of thermal (resistive-reflective) and acoustic insulation, humidity management, ease of application and malleability, as well as promoting fire resistance, ease of maintenance and cleaning, and contributing to the decontamination/purification of circulating air.
These solutions are based on new functional materials and the application of new technologies for cladding and joining structures.
The simulation models used to predict the thermal effect of WALL-INTEX® products in real homes show: Potential reduction in heat transferred through walls: 40%
Potential reduction in annual energy consumption with air conditioning: 10-12%.
