With the support of the Portuguese General Secretariat of the Ministry of the Environment, Innovation NORWAY and EEA Grants, Cluster Habitat Sustentável took part in a mission to Bergen, Norway, between September 10 and 11, to promote a meeting between its member companies and entities and the Norwegian PROPTECH Innovation Cluster.
The Cluster members who took part in this mission were: CASA DiFF, CIVILRIA, CTCV, GO – Gestão de Obras, Garcia Garcia, Grupo Casais, Instituto da Construção (FEUP), LNEG, PERFISA, SECIL, SOPSEC and SPRAL.
The mission began on September 10 with a welcome session attended by Pedro Pessoa e Costa (Portuguese Ambassador to Norway) and Denil Silva (AICEP representative).
The actions and initiatives promoted by the two clusters, the Proptech Innovation Cluster and Cluster Habitat Sustentável, were shared and discussed, and the entities associated with the two clusters also had the opportunity to discuss some of their initiatives and projects focused on sustainability and the green transition.
The day also included a visit to two innovative projects focused on reuse. Promoted by Proptech Innovation, the Kontiki and Pantheon projects aim to establish standards for the reuse of elements in construction. (See more)
The second day of the mission began with a presentation and visit to the Phoenix project, which consists of a full-scale pilot on the reuse of materials in the construction and rehabilitation of buildings.
The day also included a guided tour of the city of Bergen and a Mini Summit, where the 12 Portuguese entities associated with Cluster Habitat Sustentável and 6 Norwegian entities from the Proptech Innovation Cluster had the opportunity to pitch their innovative solutions, marked by the emphasis on Sustainability, Circularity and Digital Technologies in the Construction of our Habitat.
The event culminated in a networking dinner, providing a valuable opportunity for informal discussions and possible collaborations.
The participation of our members CASA DiFF, CIVILRIA, CTCV, GO – Gestão de Obras, Garcia Garcia, Grupo Casais, Instituto da Construção (FEUP), LNEG, PERFISA, SECIL, SOPSEC and SPRAL, was very much appreciated for the quality of their interventions, to which the Cluster would like to express its thanks.

Special thanks to EEA Grants Portugal, Innovation Norway, the Portuguese General Secretariat for the Environment and the Proptech Innovation Cluster. This mission laid the foundations for a cooperation protocol between Cluster Habitat Sustentável and the Proptech Innovation Cluster, which will enable the entities associated with the Clusters to maintain links and promote future projects.
